Industrial applications such as the factory floor are typically electrically noisy environments. Electrical noise, either radiated or conducted as electromagnetic interference EMI, can seriously disrupt the proper operation of other equipment. Cables can be a main source of transfer for EMI, both as a source and receiver. As a source, the cable can either conduct noise to other equipment or act as an antenna radiating noise. As a receiver, the cable can pick up EMI radiated from other sources. Switching heavy loads, inductive heaters, large transformers can all present high levels of both conducted and radiated EMI. Placing signal cables next to power cables can also allow power line noise to couple onto the signal lines.
Delikon Over Braided Flexible Conduit and Heavy Series Connector are designed to combat the effects of RFI EMI in cables. The over braiding of the conduit provides a low resistance path to ground and conducts to ground any of the noise it has picked up. Delikon Heavy Series Connector provides a shielding termination that provides a low impedance path to ground, ensuring high shielding effectiveness of the system. Delikon Heavy Series Connector makes sure the shields are bonded and grounded to equipment enclosure or electric cabinet. A 360-degree metal split clamp slip around the outer stainless braiding and the clamp is directly in contact with the shield when the connector back shell with a cone shape interior is tightened. The heavy series connector clamps tightly around the braiding and grounds the shielding, which helps to protect the cables against EMI noise.
Delikon Over Braided Flexible Conduit and Heavy Series Connector also protects a cable mechanically from scraps and abrasion and environmentally from dust, moisture and spills.
